Cancellation Terms
At National Wilderness Leadership Institute, we are committed to providing high-quality CPR training and certification. We understand that circumstances can change, and we strive to be fair and transparent in our cancellation and refund procedures. Please review the following policy carefully.
NWLI Refund, Transfer & Chargeback Policy
1. No‑Refund Policy
All purchases made for NWLI courses, trainings, and services
are final. NWLI maintains a strict no‑refund policy for all
program registrations, regardless of circumstance.
We understand that true emergencies may occur. In the event
of a documented emergency, participants may request a one‑time
transfer to another NWLI course under the conditions below.
2. Emergency Transfer Policy
Participants experiencing a documented emergency may
transfer their enrollment to another course subject to the following terms:
The replacement course must begin within one year of the original course’s start date.
Transfers are subject to availability.
Only one transfer is permitted per enrollment.
- Transfers cannot be used to bypass the no‑refund policy.
3. No Chargebacks / Dispute Agreement
By completing registration, all participants (“Everyone
Listed”) agree not to file bank or credit card disputes (“chargebacks”)
as a means of circumventing this policy.
Participants must contact NWLI directly with any concerns
regarding billing or services received.
4. Chargeback Fraud
Submitting a false dispute—such as claiming “Service Not
Received” or “Not as Described” when services were delivered or made
available—is considered Chargeback Fraud.
False or fraudulent chargebacks will result in:
- $750
in damages,
plus
- All
legal, court, collection, and administrative costs
incurred by NWLI.
- NWLI may provide banks, payment processors, or courts with:
- A
copy of this policy
- Attendance
records
- Communication
logs
- Service
access logs
- Any
additional documentation proving services were rendered or made available
Chargeback Fraud harms small organizations by causing
financial loss, administrative burden, and long‑term damage to merchant
accounts.
5. Governing Law (Commonwealth of Virginia)
This Refund, Transfer & Chargeback Policy is governed by
and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of
Virginia, without regard to its conflict‑of‑law principles.
6. Venue & Jurisdiction (Virginia Courts)
Any dispute, claim, or legal action arising out of or
relating to:
your program registration,
your payment(s), or
any NWLI services provided,
shall be resolved exclusively in:
the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria Division.
By registering, participants consent to the personal
jurisdiction, venue, and authority of these courts.
Participants further agree not to contest
jurisdiction or venue and waive any argument that these courts constitute an
inconvenient forum.
7. Acceptance of Terms
By completing registration, participants acknowledge,
understand, and agree to all terms outlined in this Refund, Transfer
& Chargeback Policy, including the Virginia governing‑law and jurisdiction
provisions.
