    Cancellation Terms

At National Wilderness Leadership Institute, we are committed to providing high-quality CPR training and certification. We understand that circumstances can change, and we strive to be fair and transparent in our cancellation and refund procedures. Please review the following policy carefully.

NWLI Refund, Transfer & Chargeback Policy

    1. No‑Refund Policy

All purchases made for NWLI courses, trainings, and services are final. NWLI maintains a strict no‑refund policy for all program registrations, regardless of circumstance.

We understand that true emergencies may occur. In the event of a documented emergency, participants may request a one‑time transfer to another NWLI course under the conditions below.

    2. Emergency Transfer Policy

Participants experiencing a documented emergency may transfer their enrollment to another course subject to the following terms:

    A $35 transfer fee applies.
The replacement course must begin within one year of the original course’s start date.
    Transfers are subject to availability.
Only one transfer is permitted per enrollment.

    • Transfers cannot be used to bypass the no‑refund policy.

    3. No Chargebacks / Dispute Agreement

By completing registration, all participants (“Everyone Listed”) agree not to file bank or credit card disputes (“chargebacks”) as a means of circumventing this policy.

Participants must contact NWLI directly with any concerns regarding billing or services received.

    4. Chargeback Fraud

Submitting a false dispute—such as claiming “Service Not Received” or “Not as Described” when services were delivered or made available—is considered Chargeback Fraud.

False or fraudulent chargebacks will result in:

    • $750 in damages, plus
    • All legal, court, collection, and administrative costs incurred by NWLI.
    • NWLI may provide banks, payment processors, or courts with:
    • A copy of this policy
    • Attendance records
    • Communication logs
    • Service access logs
    • Any additional documentation proving services were rendered or made available

Chargeback Fraud harms small organizations by causing financial loss, administrative burden, and long‑term damage to merchant accounts.

    5. Governing Law (Commonwealth of Virginia)

This Refund, Transfer & Chargeback Policy is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict‑of‑law principles.

    6. Venue & Jurisdiction (Virginia Courts)

Any dispute, claim, or legal action arising out of or relating to:

    this policy,
    your program registration,
    your payment(s), or
    any NWLI services provided,

    shall be resolved exclusively in:

the state courts of Fairfax County, Virginia, or
the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria Division.

By registering, participants consent to the personal jurisdiction, venue, and authority of these courts.

Participants further agree not to contest jurisdiction or venue and waive any argument that these courts constitute an inconvenient forum.

    7. Acceptance of Terms

By completing registration, participants acknowledge, understand, and agree to all terms outlined in this Refund, Transfer & Chargeback Policy, including the Virginia governing‑law and jurisdiction provisions.
